HOW TO GET SECURE SHELL (SSH) ACCESS TO THE DEVICE?
ssh access is disabled in Pyxis software. First, you need to enable it in Settings on the Security page. Then, you need to get the device IP address on the About page. You can access the device by its IP address, or
HOSTNAME.local if your local network supports
.local pseudo-top-level domain name resolution. Make sure, the device is reachable: the easiest is to be on the same network. Otherwise, you may need to setup proper port forwarding on your router. You can find the device address and hostname in the About page of the Settings. By default, the hostname is set to
Login to the device by
ssh as the user
$ ssh pi@<ADDRESS>
By default, the password is set to
raspberry in Pyxian distribution. You should change it with the
passwd command after you login for the first time.
HOW TO GET BACK TO THE SETTINGS APP?
There are several options:
- Insert a USB flash stick into the USB port.
- Briefly connect GPIO 21 (pin 40 of the header) to GND (pin 39 of the header).
